Rich started an interest in close up magic at the age of 11. And since then has spent over 20 years of his life learning and practicing the art of deception and misdirection.

At just 19, Rich won 1st place at the ‘British Magical Championships’ for his category. Following on from this success, he was asked to perform on the ‘Best Of British Magic Show’ in Blackpool for the turn of the Millennium.

Rich has since devoted his time to perfecting the art of a close up magician & card sharking, performing all over Europe and the UK, at all types of functions. Working closely with companies such as T-Mobile, Fanta, Orange, Coca Cola & O2 too develop magical ideas for promotion and advertising of new products.

Rich also works with online magic store Magic Direct and is part of a group of UK Close Up Magician’s that frequently work together at large events.

TV Magician

In 2004 Rich teamed up with a good magic friend, Keelan, to star as a double act in a new style of tv magic show.

The duo magicians shot the 10 episodes of ‘Playing Tricks’ for Endermol, over 12 weeks, featuring various stunts with the public.

Shot using hidden cameras, Keelan & Rich performed signature pieces such as a instantaneous clothes change, Richards hand penetrating right through Keelan’s chest and making a person vanish outside the Millennium Eye. The series led on ton bookings for Keelan & Rich performing as a double act for companies such as Shell.

Rich now works behind the camera Directing and filming other magicians for television.
